A new Modelzone store is soon to be opening in Birmingham centre and although this doesn’t sound like a very special thing at all it does in fact has its uses certainly to the people that like collecting things likemodel kits.
The Disney Approach?
If you have been to a great Disney store you will know exactly what I am talking about there, the theme park ones are great. They have things working in all directions which is great because it grabs the attention of the people that are shopping there. In one of the Disney stores that I have been in there were things flying around, train sets travelling on the ceiling above and just about everything they sell was out so you could take a look at it.
Well the new Modelzone store that is being called their brand new flagship store is going to have something similar to this in that you can play around with things like a RC helicopter and other RC vehicles like RC tanks which is great. They do not sound like they are copying Disney at all and it is about time a model shop actually did this, the thing that is allowing them to do this.
The In place For Hobbyists
If you are really interested in collecting model kits or at least building them then this is the place to be. If I ever go past Birmingham I will certainly pop in to see just how awesome it is.
If you are a serious modeller then get over to the store to see what it is going on when it opens!
The key thing to remember is that a store like this is not simply just for people interested in model kits currently, it is there to help grow people into the hobby and I feel this store is going to do it.
